- What is onSET-Deutsch?
- onSET is a C-Test with eight texts and 20 gaps per text. You have five minutes for each text. Your result maps to a CEFR level.
- Why this grammar?
- Because the onSET is a C-Test: every second word loses its second half. You see the start of the word; what you have to decide is usually the ending — den or dem, kleine or kleinen, wohne or wohnt. So the course focuses on endings, cases, verb forms, and small words rather than writing or speaking topics.
- What can I use for free?
- Four grammar lessons, two C-Test texts with solutions, and the guides are available without payment. You can check the course before buying.
- Is this the official test?
- No. onSET Prep is an independent training product. The official test is provided by the TestDaF-Institut through onset.de.
- Is the Pass a subscription?
- No. You pay once and keep access forever. There is no expiry date and no automatic renewal.
- Are the texts official CEFR levels?
- No. A1 to B2 describe the written difficulty of our practice texts. That is not an official placement and not a prediction of your exam result.
- Does the course guarantee B1?
- No. The course reproduces the format and helps you practice specific skills. Your result depends on your German level and your performance on test day.
- Can I use this outside Germany?
- Yes. The practice runs online. The official onSET is separate and must be booked at a licensed test center; check the current worldwide center list on onset.de before you book.
